This page represents some of my user interface and user experience design for ads, apps and sites. I started organically applying concepts of user flow, and user-centered design into my work years before "UX Designer" became a job description.
In designs for billboards, I sought out tools to measure how much text a driver could read in 3-5 seconds. In print ads I considered the position and relationships of messages, and measured the success of different layouts. I used focus-group results on radio jingles, and analyzed which photo angles got the most clicks from ecommerce site users. And always wanted to know if those results were both successful and could be efficiently replicated. I feel this consideration of the user and increasingly data-driven approach is the heart, and future and UX design.
So now, on to some examples.
For Haley Miranda Group's client, Cost Plus World Market, I designed the look and user flow of various email marketing pieces, including this one "Share the Joy Sweepstakes". The goal was to drive traffic and engagement to the Facebook page through compelling coupons, contests and giveaways. Using a "like-gate" on Facebook helped us measure and build new fans.
The client loved our work and also asked for print, and social media components.

Here is an interface I designed for Sony Network Entertainment. This is a Spanish language version of the Video Unlimited Movie Store browser app for tablet, with layout of nav, marketing, and content areas ready for app development. We tested every element to get the smoothest flow.

Below are versions of the responsive design I created for the Liaisun Media Communicator, online SAAS interface. The Liaisun Communicator is a complex environment with simultaneous modules available for video-chat, synced-video-playback, graphic annotation and more, which presented many challenges for screen management, and feature priority with multiple-users.

For client Alcon Lenses, I was given one weekend to build a working interactive mobile ad prototype. I concepted and fully created this piece which mimics the way a user can try different lens colors on their own photo once they click through to the site. I worked with a team in Tel Aviv to do user testing. The client loved it, and we published the final ad.

For client ADT Security I created concepts and mocked designs of a feature-rich / graphically-simple mobile app for their service clients to interact and monitor their home alarm systems. Using feature testing from many other available tools, I offered them a simplified user experience that they loved.

As an Art Director for Experian, I designed a large number of landing pages, including these successfully published designs. With a robust dev team, and flexible architecture I was able to design and A/B test many aspects of the user experience and improve conversion rates.

I consulted, and refined the interface design of this Rolls Royce dealer portal site to reduce clutter, and offer more user desired features.

For Connect Your Home, I designed the interface for a large number of micro sites, and landing pages. The design below received such great feedback that they rebranded the company around this clean, modern and friendly look.

Sherlock Holmes movie marketing :: I repurposed studio approved vertical key art to build several pieces for the marketing campaign, including this featured piece for the highly visited Sony Playstation website home page, using carefully selected art elements, I built an ad to engage gamers to sign in, learn more and drive traffic to the movie page.

Sony Video Unlimited UI & UX :: As one of two senior designers on the team responsible for a new user interface that would be hard coded onto new Sony televisions and other devices, as well as available online through network services, we spent hundreds of hours testing and mocking up design concepts, breaking and fixing designs, and pouring in 500,000 pieces of content - that each needed to be scaled for over 20 different versions, we built a scaleable design system, and proprietary tools to be able to quickly test new design iterations, and then scale up final versions for live releases, including this video store interface.

Crackle.com UI :: I executed a redesign of Sony's online streaming video service to include background art options, easier navigation and information overlays.

Playstation Movie Store Channel Pages :: I created mockups and feature art for over a dozen major provider channels, working with studio partners for approval of licensed assets.
